Laserdenta – System Supplier within the CAD/CAM Dental Area

From a development laboratory for physics on laser applications, Laserdenta developed to become a system supplier within the CAD/CAM dental area. Contrary to the general trend that systems will function only among each other, Laserdenta put greatest emphasis on the openness of its products. Due to the consequent use of the STL format in accordance to the industrial standard, all products may be combined in a perfect way with products of other manufacturers, for example with all open milling or rapid-prototype devices.

At Laserdenta in Bergheim (Germany) quite some proud is given to the fact that the entire hardware has been designed in house and also that the respective software has been programmed within its own premises. Presently a software for dental restoration on implants is in work which beside the optical data will also consider CT data. Like already the 5-axis dental scanner and the 5-axis milling device, this program will further strengthen Laserdenta’s specialization in the implantology market.

Executive management of the internationally acting enterprise is in the hands of Dr. Wolfgang Kirchner (CEO), founder of Laserdenta. At the moment, a staff of 7 is entrusted with the development of hardware and software, 11 employees with sales, marketing, support and administration.

Following the motto "Made in Germany", production of the scanner and milling devices is also done in Germany. Since years, close collaboration has been entered into with a manufacturer of engineering products in southern Germany which specialized in hired labor of high-tech equipment.

Since the end of 2008, Laserdenta has been represented by an own subsidiary in the US. Laserdenta Inc., headed by Brian F. Binnie is situated in Brea, in the middle of Orange Country (CA).
